The UK BS1363 Angled (Male) is a 3 pins grounded plug rated up to 250V and 13A and commonly called a 13A plug. It has three rectangular pins forming an isosceles triangle. The BS 1363 plug has a fuse which is suitably rated to protect the appliance's flexible cord from overload. Built to the British standard BS1363 for British power cord plugs and rated up to 13A 250V, 10A 250V, 5A 250V or 3A 250V depending upon wire and fuse selected. In Great Britain the electricity supplied by the normal wall inlet is called the mains power system and therefore this UK power cord plug is also referred to as the UK mains plug, the BS1363 mains plug or British mains power plug.
